Project Leader: Carol Shennan
I am a professor emerita of agroecology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, with over 15 years of experience studying non-fumigant alternatives to soil-borne disease management in strawberry production systems in collaboration with my colleague Dr. Joji Muramoto, and others. This current project is particularly exciting since it brings together people across 5 states to work in a coordinated way to develop integrated disease management strategies for different strawberry production regions.

I am an Assistant Cooperative Extension Organic Production Specialist at the University of California, Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC-ANR) and the Center for Agroecology, University of California Santa Cruz and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Studies at UCSC. I have work worked on ASD and ecological disease management for over 15 years and lead the California research components of the project.

I am a retired research plant pathologist and microbial ecologist from USDA ARS Wenatchee , WA, and a Professor at the University of Stellenbosch, Stellenbosch, South Africa.
